Our focus in Central Asia has expanded to supporting college and young professional ministries in Karakol, Kyrgyzstan. Becky Hunsberger, from Wheat Field Fellowship, is teaching at a school in Amman, Jordan for two years. Two adults from Wheat Field Fellowship are currently in New Zealand. Jon Farmer is doing outreach through "board sports" with a service project in Indonesia. Courtney Allen is doing service projects in New Zealand with an outreach trip to Guam. Mareva Mae Trocio is a Compassion Child sponsored by our Children's Ministry. Esubalew Adisu is a Compassion Child sponsored by our Children's Ministry. Ezekiel Moterian is a Compassion Child sponsored by our Youth Ministry. In addition to the children we sponsor officially as a church, children all over the world are part of several Wheat Field families commitment to sharing Jesus in practical ways. For years, the entire church body of Wheat Field has supported this ministry of Samaritan's Purse by filling Christmas shoeboxes of small gifts and treats for children all over the world. We help support a couple, who are pastoring a church plant in Turkey in a predominantly Muslim community. A couple from Aurora - unnamed for security reasons- has lived here for many years, serving in the community while bringing clean water and improved agricultural technology to the area. Working with China Partner, Wheat Field supported special outreaches for many years, including evengelistic opportunities during the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. Our main focus of international support is in Kazakhstan. For well over a decade, we have sent financial resources and ministry teams to assist a family and their work through Campus Crusade. Support also goes to local pastors and evangelists. Widows and Orphans of Central Asia is a ministry founded by a Wheat Field Member. Serving people of Almaty, Kazakhstan, we support the community with food, clothing, medical supplies, and Bibles.
