Compassion Child Maria Dominguez is supported by our Children's Ministry. Site of our 2007 Youth Missions Trip. Our teens and the adult sponsors helped with construction as well as ran a vacation Bible school for the children of this poor community. In 2006, our teens served the needy while staying at the Union Rescue Mission. This included food preparation, service and cleanup for three meals each day to more than 3,000 of the homeless people in the area known as Skid Row. In 2008 and 2009, our team served at the Northern Cheyenne Reservation to work with the children of the tribe and assist with various construction projects. Over the years, our team has made several trips to the Lakota Sioux Reservation running sports and evangelistic camps. Through our partnerships with PacifiCare and the Allied Jewish Federation, as well particpating with local agencies, we responded quickly to the Hurricane Katrina crisis, providing food, clothing and funds for rebuilding efforts in both New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. Locally, Wheat Field has been involved both in financial support and in service with the Colorado Pregnancy Center, HIV CareLink, Young Life, Yeshua's Kids, and Adventure Camp Colorado. These groups serve a wide and diverse segment of our Denver Metro community.
